Tesla is set to open one of its largest Supercharger stations halfway between LA and San Francisco, in Kettleman City, California. The station will have 40 Supercharger stalls, making it the biggest fast-charging station in the world. An existing building will be used as a “Supercharger lounge” that will feature seating, tables, sofas and restrooms. The plans include solar arrays to power the station, making it even more environmentally friendly than previous versions. The Kettleman City Supercharger will also have food trucks on-site and a stall for EV charging-only vans. There is speculation that the station may be an opportunity to showcase Tesla’s new 350 kW Supercharger V3.
