Tesla continues to show its commitment to expanding its Supercharger network ahead of the highly anticipated Model 3 production. With construction and permits acquired for over 40 new stations in the US, the electric vehicle giant is addressing concerns about potential strain on the fast-charging network. However, Tesla is not just adding new stations; it’s tripling the number of stalls per station in heavily trafficked areas to alleviate wait times. From 6 to as many as 100 charging stalls per station, the company is strategizing to ensure all Tesla vehicles have easy access to charging. Tesla’s updated Supercharger policy also reveals that all new vehicles, including the Model 3, will operate under a pay-per-use model, except for new Model S or X purchases made by existing Tesla owners. Tesla is staying ahead of the curve by expanding its Supercharger network and addressing the potential strain on its fleet. As the market shifts towards electric vehicles, Tesla’s approach highlights the importance of charging infrastructure for further EV adoption.
